Template — not yet reviewed. This text is a starting point written against how the site actually works. Have it checked by a legal adviser and set reviewed on this page before relying on it.

This page explains what Aperture Studio does with your personal information when you book a session, create an account, or shoot with us.

What we collect

When you book online we ask for your name, email address, phone number and postal address, along with the sessions, date and time you choose. We need these to hold the booking and to reach you if anything changes.

If you create an account we also store a password, kept only as a one-way hash that we cannot read. If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google — never your Google password.

As you shoot with us we build a booking history against your record: past sessions, invoices and payments. This is what lets a photographer see what we did with you last time.

This page covers the information this website holds about you. The photographs themselves — what we shoot, who may use them and for how long — are governed by your booking contract and the Terms of Service, not by this policy.

How we use it

To confirm and manage your bookings, to bill you, to keep your booking history, and to contact you about a shoot. We also use aggregate figures — revenue, which sessions are most requested, how busy each studio is — to run the business; these do not identify you.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.

Who can see it

Our team, limited to what their role needs. Access is controlled per role and per studio, so someone working at one location cannot browse another location's client records.

Our service providers — hosting, database and email delivery — process data on our behalf under contract. Payment card details are handled by the payment provider and are never stored on our systems.

How long we keep it

For as long as you remain a client, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting law requires us to retain invoices. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove what we are not legally obliged to keep.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can change most of it yourself from your account. To make a request, contact us using the details below and allow us a reasonable period to respond.

Cookies

We set a cookie to keep you signed in. It is required for the site to work and is not used to track you across other websites.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be brought to your attention.
